    Jez Cartwright - Chief Executive

    Jez is an exceptional and sought after performance coach.  He has coached a wide variety of senior CEO’s, leaders and teams across many sectors of the business world as well as teams and elite performers within the sports world. His clients included the Great Britain rowing and diving teams, the England cricket team and professional football teams including Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday.

    Jez’s expertise lies in providing individuals, leaders and teams with focused, objective and challenging insight and support in order for them to unlock the behaviours required to reach their full potential. His passion for enabling others to succeed is evident in all of his coaching. Jez holds a masters degree in the Science of Sports Coaching from the University of Sheffield and has followed his passion for learning by completing courses in psychosynthesis and The Gottman Marriage Lab.

    Jez has an appreciation for the finer things in life and likes experiencing the different cultures he has encountered on his many travels.  He has written his first book (The Handbook for Exceptional People) which was successfully published by Macmillan and rose to the No 1 spot on iTunes.  When Jez is not working, or on a plane, he enjoys relaxing by the ocean in France and trying to improve his golf.

    Mark has over 20 years experience, focused on managing, developing and leading teams. Mark’s expertise is in leading major change and business transformations and helping people succeed on the journey or look positively and constructively for alternative options. Mark provides a trusted advisor role to clients who are transforming their organisations, he provides coaching and practical advice in dealing with the real issues affecting people and how they experience change.

    Mark works with FTSE 250 clients and operates across Financial Services, Media and Retail. Mark’s natural style is open, practical and objective and clients always appreciate that Mark delivers exceptional results. Mark has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by leaders and has a challenging approach to enabling and sustaining high levels of performance in organisations, teams and individuals

    He is a fellow of the CIPD and has studied the psychology of change and organisational effectiveness.

    A recent client described Mark as a hands-on practitioner. He is a fabulous facilitator. He has great insight and can help extract a conceptual framework from a group of individuals. He is also very good at conceptualizing. He goes beyond others because he brings in lots of observations from other companies and the world. He is  really good at laying out with the client what the process of scale change will look like and map out the stages of the journey He’s very good at execution, leading and implementing change.

  • Alan P Ward

    Alan P Ward - Partner

    Alan is an experienced and supportive coach. He has provided coaching at senior levels across Europe and has extensive experience of helping middle managers move into leadership roles. Alan is also a skilled facilitator and has delivered many coaching skills workshops to clients across a wide range of industry sectors.

    Alan serves on the standards committee for the European Mentoring & Coaching Council and is an expert commentator on the need for consistency and quality of practice in the coaching industry.

    A Master Coaching Practitioner, Alan holds a degree in Financial Services from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) and an MSc in Coaching & Organisational Development from the University of Portsmouth.

    Alan has travelled extensively throughout the world and enjoys immersing himself in local customs and learning from the lives of people in other cultures.

  • Steve Knight

    Steve Knight - Partner

    Steve is an experienced facilitator and coach and specialises in supporting individuals and teams through change. Steve is particularly focused on leadership development, improving personal effectiveness and one-to-one coaching

     

    Steve’s expertise is founded on over 20 years experience in the field of learning and development working with clients across a number of different sectors. Steve has held a number of senior management roles including the position of Director of Leadership Development at Ernst & Young where he was responsible for creating the firm’s approach to developing its future leaders. Steve also has experience of working as an independent consultant.

    Steve has an eclectic approach to change and personal development, drawing on a wide range of approaches from many sources. Clients appreciate Steve’s relaxed and personable style of delivery. He is a member of the CIPD, holds a Human Givens Diploma from Mindfields College, and is a Master NLP Practitioner. He is qualified to use a number of psychometric tools including MBTI, FIRO B, and OPQ.

    Steve has a busy family life with three teenage children and at the weekends he transfers his coaching skills to the football field to coach a young football team. He is also a keen golfer.

  • Neela Bettridge

    Neela Bettridge - Partner

    Neela has over 10 years’ experience coaching leaders and senior teams at major corporations, guiding them successfully towards higher performance. She combines direct experience as a senior executive and entrepreneur with a sound knowledge of leadership and coaching.

    In addition she specialises in two niche areas; high performing women and sustainability.

    She has a strong track record as a high-achieving executive and entrepreneur in her own right and co-founded the sustainability advisory company Article 13.

    This practical experience is combined with deep understanding of the theory behind successful leadership at a senior level. She defines as ‘conscious leadership’ the ability to combine sensitivity with resilience, the awareness of different stakeholder needs with decisiveness, and ability to reflect with communication skills.

    Neela has considerable international experience, and is able to advise on multi-cultural working and other aspects of complex international teams.

    Her approach has been used successfully with senior executives and teams in many different sectors, including Finance, Communications, Food, Health, Pharmaceuticals, Logistics, Engineering, Energy and Water.

    Neela is an avid cook and likes nothing better than cooking up a storm with good friends and a bottle of fine wine. Neela also enjoys running, sailing and riding

  • Ian Paterson

    Ian Paterson - Partner

    Ian is an experienced professional with a passion for coaching.  He has nearly three decades of experience in global professional services firms, having been a partner in Andersen, Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young.  Ian now brings this experience to bear in his coaching which focuses on helping individuals to achieve their potential, in particular during periods of change.

    Ian’s coaching approach is based on looking for what’s working and focusing on solutions and positive experiences.  He is a certified coach with the International Coach Federation, a NLP Practitioner and is also qualified to use a number of tools such as MBTI and Tracom Social Styles.

    Ian is the managing director of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).  In this role he is responsible for helping to set strategy and ensure it’s execution.  This role allows Ian to contribute to and shape the future of the profession of coaching.

    Ian enjoys keeping fit by running and cycling and has been known to compete in an occasional triathlon.  He is also a second dan black belt in traditional karate.

  • Peter Cordery

    Peter is a fully trained, experienced Executive Coach who has worked with over 60 different businesses and coaches Chief Executives, Boards, leaders and teams across different sectors.

    Peter is a skilled executive with considerable board experience gained working for over 30 years at the senior level, as Chairman, CEO and Director, mainly in the technology sector.  He is an entrepreneur who has created businesses and experienced both success and failure.  He developed the European operation for a start-up US software company, Netdynamics, selling it to Sun Microsystems where he stayed as director of the $130m EMEA software business.  He has worked internationally and nurtured businesses and collaborated with people from diverse backgrounds. He is a fluent French speaker.

    Peter is passionate about helping people improve their business and personal performance and he employs a variety of tools and techniques to stimulate business performance.  Peter establishes a friendly, relaxed relationship; knowing that transformation comes from support.  His style is inclusive and responds to your needs, seeking to work with you as an equal.
